BACKGROUND

Static Motion (Pty) Ltd was established in 2016 in Pretoria, and provides consulting engineering and management services in the transportation industry. The company name was inspired by the quest to estimate static axle loads from dynamic (weigh-in-motion) measurements, and communicates the company’s key interest in static weighbridge operations and weigh-in-motion of vehicles. The name also communicates stability and constant progress.

Static Motion is categorised as an Exempt Small & Micro Enterprise (ESME), and therefore a Level 4 BEE Contributor. Its founder and managing director, Gerhard de Wet, personally oversees or executes all projects. All aspects of each project therefore receive the personal attention of a registered professional engineer with more than 17 years of consulting experience in the transportation industry.
